Do You Agree??

My college life is full of presentations. There is another this morning while I talked about capital punishment. I am 100% disagree for using such cruel method in solving a crime!! Why do supporters ever believe that when a criminal is killed then he or she has no possibility of repeating the crime. The death penalty is final, there is no turning back!! What if there is new evidence that turns up later exonerating the offender?? Dont you think that it is just another way to legalize murder? A nicer name to replace the word murder!
In real life, most criminals carry out their crimes in the heat of PASSION, under the influence of drugs or alcohol or making assumption that they will not be caught. If a person even thinks about getting caught they are likely a career criminal. The rest of the criminals are simply not thinking. Either emotions or drugs are clouding their judgment I believe that people do have a chance! I believe you will never know how you feel until something happens in your own family, relatives or friends. Thanks god I have never had to go through this and don’t ever wish this on my worst enemy.
Is REVENGE the only answer to a crime? Vengeance is NOT going to heal the surviving family members and friends. The execution may give survivors a temporary relief from their pain and anger, but the real relief comes with TIME, and, if possible, FORGIVENESS. It is going too far when a society is willing to execute innocent people for the sake of getting revenge. I have to say that if you really want to punish a criminal, take away his freedom, allow no privilages and isolate him. Or maybe give him community services, make him good people again. Don't let him rot in the ground. It solves nothing!!!
Yea, i managed to end my speech in the time given. Unfortunately, before I get to end my speech with a nice "Thank You", a silly frog asked for Q&A session (without raising hand)! One word to describe-->> Grrr! Ok, besides that a lame "Fridge" and his two other best buddies show silly faces, wave their hands, make odd sounds.. luckily I did not burst into laughter!(almost) ehehehe.. BEWARE!! I will treat them nicely during Q&A sessions during their presentations too!!! ;)

p/s:I am STRONGLY disagree with "tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye". Each of us made mistakes in our life, however that is NOT something to be ashamed of, as long as we learn from our mistakesand DON'T REPEAT! Everyone deserves a chance, NEVER discriminate those who had done something wrong in their past. REMEMBER:ACCEPTANCE & FORGIVENESS is the best gift you can give to them!
